The luxury barista bar, designed by The Kitchen Strand and featuring Miele appliances, will go on the road throughout 2009, donating its exclusive service to charity events from Miami to Vero Beach.
On September 15, 2009, The Kitchen Strand, a custom kitchen design firm, and Miele, an international luxury appliance manufacturer, donated their exclusive gourmet coffee service to the Lighthouse Center for the Art's second annual Canstruction exhibit's opening reception, in Tequesta.
The designers-turned-baristas served a full array of espressos, caramel macchiato, lattes and more to event attendees. They also premiered their "Architectural Series" gourmet coffees, including beverages based on the legendary Palm Beach architect Addison Mizner, in addition to Eileen Grey, McKim Meade & White, and Mies van der Rohe.
This year's Canstruction exhibits feature the work of local architects, engineers and artists, all contestants in a national competition aimed to ease hunger in our community.
